"Midterm Week"

So solid show today, exponentially better than the last. I was tired as hell the whole show mainly because i had a midterm monday and tuesday and have done much else besides go to dunkin donuts drink red bull and go to the library for the past four days. It was nice to take a little break for some music... but unfortunately unlike my signoff suggested ...i did not go to sleep and like a fool went to class... to which all im doing is writing this blog and surfing the tubes....productive...anyhow here was my show
Dear and the Headlights "Saintly Rows (Oh Oh)"
The Kooks "Mr. Maker"
The Good Rats "Injun Joe" (LI based band ...woot)
Commander Cody "Midnight Man"
Eric Johnson "Cruising the Nile"
Condo "Pursuits"
So that was my show hope you enjoyed it unfortunately I don't think Dr.B will not be in town next week which means I will most probably not be playing so if not Happy Halloween unfortuantely I will not be able to play the full album Sing-a-long Disney Halloween Song CD (doesnt actually exist)...but yea enjoy your 2 weeks

Radio show from hell

Well I was hoping this would not happen again but had another horrible radio show in which a great myriad of things went wrong. I won't go into the details whatever gotta move on at this point hopefully after my two tests are over i will not be so uptight and tense. Anyhow enjoy.

Creedance Clearwater Revival "Fortunate Son" (recently watched Forrest Gump great soundtrack)
Hypno Love Wheel "Get My Act Together"
Kanye West "Love Lockdown" (New single, Dan a friend of mine requested this song, pretty good)
R. Steve Moore (woops get back to you with the title)
Pink Spiders "Seventeen Candles"
Kanye West ft. John Mayer "Bittersweet" (Now some of you music finatics out there may ask, "birdman how did you get this on the radio aren't there alot of swear words in this song" and for those of you who said this, you are right which is why I had to cut the song 30 seconds in... yea bad day at the radio but good song if your not trying to comply w/ FCC)
and that is my show what a trainwreck
next week will be better i pray

Show number 3 throwback week

So this show was pretty solid parents were listening ... tributed a song to my dad (which in turn may have led some people to believe he is an alcoholic bum ... i'll let you decide which song it was). Otherwise nothing really write home about one of the record plays cut out through my first song we had to replace the needle and all was well. Here is my song list for your enjoyment
"Squeeze Box"- The Who
"Lola"- The Kinks
"All Star"- Smash Mouth (so cliche but was in the mood ...sometimes you gotta do it)
"Running With the Devil"- Van Halen (harsh transition i know you don't have to tell me of course how would you?)
"Funky Stuff"- Kool and the Gang
"D'yer Maker"- Led Zeppellin
"One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer"- George Thorogood (although his drink is usually jack, i think the message is received and I don't think this song could have been easier to guess)

And Thats my show cyall laters...

Christmas come early...on rosh hashanah

So I got to the radio station this morning and was informed I could have 45 minutes on the air today...sucess. Anyways I rushed my song selection a little but all and all was alot smoother than the first time. Here's the song list

Jackson Five "I Want You Back" (if you don't like this song there is something horribly wrong w/u)
Jimi Hendrix "Have You Ever Been (to Electric Ladyland)"
Rusted Roots "Union"
Shaky Hands "Air Better Come"
Coldplay "Lost" (effing awesome album Viva La Vida check it out if you've only heard the single)
John Mayer Trio "Gravity"
John Lennon "Watching The Wheels"
Miles Davis "Just Squeeze Me"
John Coltrane "Slow Dance"

And Then I walked to my dorm and went back to sleep because it was 9am and I have no classes so hope you enjoyed my show (but lets be honest maybe 2 people were listening) and post again next wednesday..

Happy New Year,

My debut day...fail

Well first of all greetings everyone that will hopefully be reading this, I will be using this blog to post the occasional train of thought or idea or whatever and also to post my songs from each of my shows on WHRW Binghamton Radio 90.5. So for those of you who don't know me I am currently an apprentice at this radio station so my show will last roughly for 20 min a week wednesday, somewhere between 8AM-845AM. So anyhow today was my first time on the radio was a lot of fun and alot of nervous. We had to cut the first song out of the feed for a few seconds due to a supposed dropped "f bomb", although later I found out that was not the lyric. Anyways rest of the time went smooth subtracting the mic being too low and the broadcast not being able to be heard. Next time things will go smoother... I hope

Anyways noone will be reading this yet mostly because i created this blog before I could announce it earlier today but I will post the playlist all the same
1. Modest Mouse "Float On"
2. Green Day "Waiting"
3. Lynard Skynard "Gimme Three Steps"
4. Red Hot Chili Peppers "Cabron"

And yea that was my show and I hope to get people to read and or listen in the near future
